Terms & Conditions – Aventour Car Rental Corfu

These terms outline the agreement between Aventour Car Rental and the customer for the use of rental vehicles in Corfu. By confirming a reservation or signing a rental contract, the customer accepts the following terms and agrees to comply with all related responsibilities.

General Rental Agreement

  • The rental agreement is a legal contract between Aventour and the Customer.
  • Customers must hold a valid driver’s license, passport or ID, and a credit or debit card.
  • All customers must comply with Greek traffic laws.
  • The minimum rental period is 1 day and is subject to availability.
  • Aventour reserves the right to decline service to any customer at its discretion.

Driver Requirements

  • Minimum driver age: 22 years old
  • Driver’s license must be valid for at least 2 years
  • Non-EU license holders must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP)
  • Only drivers listed in the rental agreement are allowed to operate the vehicle

Guarantee Deposit

  • No security deposit is required for standard rentals, unless otherwise stated

Vehicle Use Policy

The Customer agrees to:

  • Return the car to the agreed location and time, in the same condition and fuel level as received
  • Keep the vehicle locked and secure when not in use
  • Remove all personal belongings before return — Aventour is not responsible for lost items
  • Operate the vehicle within Corfu island, unless written permission is provided for travel outside
  • Not allow smoking, unauthorized pets, or illegal items in the car
  • Not use the vehicle for racing, towing, off-road driving, or transporting passengers/goods for commercial purposes
  • Respect the legal seating capacity of the vehicle

Insurance & Liability

  • All rentals include Third-Party Liability Insurance as required by Greek law
  • Optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) may apply with a deductible of €600
  • Additional insurance coverage can be added at extra cost
  • Insurance becomes void in cases of:
    • Reckless driving
    • Drunk driving or substance use
    • Accidents caused by unauthorized drivers
    • Breaches of any part of this agreement

Accidents & Breakdowns

In case of an accident, mechanical issue, or theft:

  • Contact Aventour immediately
  • Aventour will provide roadside assistance and guide you through the necessary procedures
  • A police report must be filed in case of an accident or theft

Fuel Policy

  • Return the car with the same fuel level as delivered
  • Alternatively, you may choose the Prepaid Fuel Option during booking
  • Aventour does not refund unused fuel if returned with a higher level

Child Seats & Extras

  • Child seats are available upon request with a small additional fee
  • Must be reserved in advance to ensure availability

Pets

  • Pets are allowed with an additional cleaning fee
  • A protective seat cover will be provided upon request
  • Unauthorized pet transport may result in cleaning charges

Late Returns, Fines & Additional Charges

  • Late returns may result in additional day charges
  • The customer is responsible for:
    • Traffic fines
    • Toll fees
    • Parking violations
    • Lost keys, documents, or accessories

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a refund
  • No-shows or late cancellations will be charged
  • Early returns are non-refundable

Privacy & Data Protection

Aventour complies with Greek and EU GDPR laws. Personal data is used only for rental purposes and is not shared with third parties without consent.

Legal Jurisdiction

  • All disputes are governed by Greek law
  • Legal matters are subject to the courts of Corfu, Greece

Vehicle Usage Restrictions

The vehicle must not be used:

  • In violation of these terms and conditions
  • To tow trailers, carry heavy or hazardous materials, or transport illegal goods
  • By anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Outside of Corfu without written consent
  • For commercial purposes or paid passenger transport
  • To carry more passengers than legally allowed

By proceeding with your booking or signing the rental contract, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the above terms.
